Race InformationTimeFirst race is at high noon. Come early for qualifying heats or just to test your car. Place The Soapbox Derby Hill in the Middlesex County Sheepfold Fells Reservation. The hill is 1500 feet from start to finish. It is paved, but is in slight disrepair. There are tufts of grass growing out of cracks and some minor potholes. Directions From Boston take 93 north to exit 33: Fellsway West (Medford, MA). From the exit take 28 Northfor 2 or 3 minutes. The Fells entrance is on the left (directly across from 93 south entrance sign). Follow the driveway to the end and unload your car. The top of the hill is scarcely 100 feet away. Gallery InformationThe Derby gallery show, entitled: 'Derby Central' will showcase video, flyer art, photo's, cars, wreckage, and costumes from past events. Also on display will be inspirational videos, free parts for making cars, information, and artwork. Racers are invited to contribute anything they want. There will be food and bands at the opening and closing shows. Anyone who wants to help out, submit work, or perform at the opening and/or closing should contact Luke as soon as possible.Time The show goes up on Saturday, March 17, and comes down Sunday April 1 visit any time that the school is open (7:30am to 11:30pm 7 days). The opening party is on Monday, March 19. The closing party is on Friday, March 30.
